I’ve Joined the Movement. Will You Join My Cabin?
Every Move Matters is a virtual summer‑camp‑style weekend where participation fuels real impact.
I’m participating in Every Move Matters, our virtual summer‑camp‑style weekend supporting the Periodic Paralysis Association. This event brings our community together through movement, creativity, and connection, because there is no wrong way to move here.
I’m raising funds to help build a world where people with periodic paralysis are accurately diagnosed, effectively treated, fully supported, and never isolated.
This one is personal for me.
My brother Jermaine collapsed when he was only 16 from a genetic heart condition. Years later, after my own long journey looking for answers, I learned that I have Andersen-Tawil syndrome with hypokalemic periodic paralysis.
I can’t change what happened to my brother, but I can help change what happens next.
That’s why I’m participating in the Periodic Paralysis Association’s Every Move Matters virtual summer camp.
And here’s what I love about it: every move really does matter.
Maybe your movement is taking a walk. Maybe it’s doing some arts and crafts. Maybe you can only move a little today. And maybe your way of participating is simply cheering somebody else on.
It all counts.
I’m raising money to support the Periodic Paralysis Association and its work helping patients and families find education, community, and answers.
For me, this is also about keeping my brother’s legacy alive and helping break the genetic cycle of unanswered questions in my family and others.
So come be my virtual bunkmate. 🏕️
Move with me. Support me. Donate if you can. Share if you can’t.
Because Every Move Matters, and together, so can ours.
